Job Title: Drywall Installer

At ASN Plumbing & Heating Inc., we are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall and plastering systems in commercial and institutional settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster
  • Clean and prepare surfaces
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
Work Environment:

The work environment will be dusty, noisy, and outdoors. You will be working on commercial and institutional sites, and you must be willing to relocate.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Supervision:

You will be working under the supervision of 3-4 people.
