We are currently in search of a motivated Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career, acquire hands-on field experience in the heavy construction sector, and learn from our team of skilled civil professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating project requirements and conducting quantitative assessments
- Developing job plans and coordinating equipment and resources
- Supervising on-site subcontractors
- Monitoring project costs
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Performing construction layout, quality assurance, and resolving design challenges in the field
- Preparing as-built documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Education Required: Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering Technology (C.E.T) or a Survey Technology Program
- Years of Experience Required: 5 years, preferably in the heavy construction industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and AutoCAD
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to take initiative and develop innovative ideas
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Gold Seal Certification is considered an asset
