At CIMA+, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our energy team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of high-power switchgears and controlgears for hydropower plant projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical power systems for various hydropower plant projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop power systems, including diagrams and drawings for switchgear and controlgear.
  • Prepare project deliverables, such as detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams, to ensure accurate and efficient implementation.
  • Perform calculations for equipment sizing, power cable gauges, and material selection to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Coordinate electrical work with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications:
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Member of l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • More than ten years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the hydropower industry.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, such as those established by Hydro-Québec or other public utilities.
  • Fluency in oral and written French, with proficiency in English for communication with stakeholders.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD.
  • Resourcefulness, motivation, and enthusiasm for delivering successful projects.
