About the Role

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading staff through daily shift tasks, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of staff to ensure the successful completion of daily shift tasks and maintenance activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure that all facilities and maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with Conservation Halton's safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of staff and operations to ensure that targets are met.
Requirements
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and a satisfactory driver's abstract.
  • CSA-approved safety footwear.
