Position Overview

The Culinary Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of food preparation and service within a dynamic environment. This role requires a strong focus on quality control and customer satisfaction.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
Work Environment
  • Expect a lively atmosphere with exposure to various odours and a humid environment.
  • Conditions may include heat and noise typical of a busy kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet work schedules effectively.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff regarding their roles, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on operations.
  • Oversee the delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely service.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for the team.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for supervising a team of 5-10 individuals.

Security and Safety
  • Must be bondable and possess basic security clearance.
Transportation Requirements
  • Personal transportation is required for this position.
Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced environment requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Attention to detail is crucial in this role.

Experience

Preferred candidates will have 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 35 hours per week, with English as the primary working language.
