Black & McDonald Limited , a prominent provider of diverse trade services, is in search of a dedicated Billing Financial Analyst to enhance our energetic workforce. In this pivotal position, you will play a crucial role in guaranteeing the precision and effectiveness of our complete billing operations, encompassing the evaluation of service specifics, oversight of customer accounts, and revenue collection.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate work orders, service contracts, and associated costs to produce precise and compliant invoices for various trade services (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
  2. Maintain a thorough understanding of client agreements and pricing structures to ensure billing aligns with established rates.
  3. Conduct meticulous reviews of invoices for accuracy and completeness prior to distribution.
  4. Investigate and rectify billing discrepancies, collaborating with internal teams and clients to achieve prompt resolutions.
  5. Oversee customer accounts, including payment processing, addressing inquiries, and fostering positive relationships.
  6. Generate detailed reports on billing activities, revenue patterns, and customer payment histories.
  7. Identify and implement enhancements to optimize billing processes and improve efficiency.
  8. Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate financial documentation.
  9. Collaborate closely with the finance department to address billing-related issues and implement enhancements.
  10. Ensure adherence to company billing policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (preferred).
  2. 2-3 years of experience in a financial billing or analytical capacity.
  3. Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and billing practices.
  4. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on identifying and resolving billing discrepancies.
  5. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal teams and clients.
  8. Ability to thrive in a multi-tasking, fast-paced, and evolving environment.
  9. Experience and/or familiarity with ERP systems - JD Edwards is a plus.
