Position: System Administrator

We are seeking a qualified System Administrator to join our team at CB Canada. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Establishing, overseeing, and managing solutions for diverse applications and clients;
  • Ensuring the maintenance of equipment and systems to guarantee service continuity and availability;
  • Monitoring networks and equipment, intervening promptly to reduce service disruptions;
  • Documenting infrastructure and DevOps configurations for clarity and efficiency;
  • Contributing to the design of application architecture and technology stack;
  • Engaging in the design, development, and upkeep of internal tools;
  • Standardizing and automating deployment processes for improved efficiency;
  • Supporting HR in onboarding and offboarding activities;
  • Managing employee access and associated equipment;
  • Providing assistance to colleagues with equipment and infrastructure challenges;
  • Maintaining a strategic roadmap for the evolution of IT equipment and development tools;
  • Ensuring compliance with established IT budgetary constraints.

Qualifications:

  • College diploma or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields;
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT system administration;
  • Proficient in Linux/Ubuntu and macOS operating systems;
  • Expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) offerings;
  • Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes for container orchestration;
  • Experience with the LAMP stack;
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PHP;
  • Fluency in French is required;
  • Relevant certifications (AWS, Docker, Linux, ITIL, security, or networking) are advantageous;
  • Proficient in Ansible for configuration management;
  • Experience with CloudFormation for managing AWS infrastructure;
  • Experience with VMware ESXi for virtual machine management;
  • Familiarity with Fortinet or Ubiquiti networking equipment;
  • Experience with various platforms including Jamf, Mosyle, Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Jenkins, Redmine, Graylog, or Nagios;
  • Knowledge of the Laravel framework is a plus;
  • Understanding of Agile and SCRUM methodologies;
  • Proficiency in English is required;
  • Organized, proactive, and autonomous with a strong interest in IT security;
  • Ability to synthesize, conceptualize, and communicate ideas effectively;
  • A start-up mentality and a collaborative team player.
