Position Overview

As a Sous-Chef at Elma Restaurant, you will play a crucial role in our culinary team, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of relevant experience in a kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and instruct kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of dishes.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals and specialty dishes for events, including banquets.
  • Oversee the activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel to ensure efficient operations.
  • Manage the requisition of food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Design menus that meet quality standards and cater to customer preferences.
  • Train and mentor staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
