Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabricator to join our team at Arrow Transportation Systems Inc. As a Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for maintaining safe working conditions, adhering to Occupational Health and Safety regulations, and performing various fabrication tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and protocols.
- Perform various fabrication tasks, including welding, cutting, and assembling metal components.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Operate welding equipment and manual flame-cutting equipment.
- Conduct repairs, modifications, and retrofits on metal structures.
- Assist in developing repair estimates and monitoring parts usage.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in welding compliance, practices, and techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Interprovincial Red Seal or Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) tickets (minimum C ticket).
- Proven experience in fabrication and welding, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Ability to pass a physical examination to ensure fitness for the job.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
