Job Summary

GardaWorld is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pre-Board Screening Officer to join our team at the Timmins/Victor M. Power Airport in Ontario, Canada.

About the Role

As a Pre-Board Screening Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the traveling public. Your primary responsibility will be to screen passengers and their belongings before they enter the secure area of the airport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen passengers and their belongings using X-ray machines and other security equipment
  • Ensure that non-permitted items do not enter the secure area
  • Control access to restricted areas and respond to alarms and incidents
  • Participate in emergency operations within the airport
  • Collaborate with other security personnel to maintain a safe and secure environment

Requirements

  • Must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Have a clean criminal record and be eligible to obtain RAIC (security clearance)
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must be located near Timmins, ON or willing to relocate before starting
