About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver Assistant to join our team at Pape Leroy. As a Caregiver Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care, ensuring the client's comfort and dignity
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account the client's dietary needs and preferences
  • Provide companionship and engage in activities that promote mental and emotional well-being
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment
  • Administer medications, as directed by the client's healthcare provider
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Punctuality, client focus, reliability, patience, and honesty are essential qualities for this role
  • Experience an asset, but not required
Work Environment

As a Caregiver Assistant, you will work in the client's home, providing one-on-one care and support. The work environment is non-smoking, and optional accommodation may be available at no charge on a live-in basis.

Language

The primary language of communication is English or French, and the ability to speak both languages is an asset.

Work Schedule

The work schedule is 35 to 44 hours per week, with a focus on providing consistent and reliable care to our clients.
