About the Role

Punia Drywall Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality drywall installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and ensure a professional finish.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet client specifications.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, ensuring a sturdy and secure installation.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry, ensuring a seamless finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a strong bond.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures, humidity levels, and noise levels. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a physically demanding role.

Requirements
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding role.
  • Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages.
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
