Position Overview:

As a vital member of our team, you will ensure that every customer feels welcomed and valued at our Co-op through exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cash Handling: Efficiently managing transactions via the Point-of-Sale system.
  • Yard Operations: Assisting with customer orders, operating forklifts, and managing propane dispensing.
  • Inventory Management: Unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, and maintaining product presentation in both the store and yard.
  • General Maintenance: Performing housekeeping tasks and adhering to opening and closing protocols.

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about customer service and have an interest in the hardware and agricultural sectors. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid class 5 driver's license.
  • A minimum age of 16 years.
  • A willingness to obtain a Power Mobile Equipment Certificate (training provided).
  • An eagerness to secure a Propane Dispenser Certificate.
  • Previous retail experience, particularly in customer service, agricultural products, point of sale operations, and merchandising.
  • The physical capability to lift up to 60 lbs, climb ladders, and kneel as needed.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A strong sense of integrity, a results-driven mindset, and a commitment to excellence.
  • A collaborative spirit, valuing diverse perspectives to achieve common goals.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Agro Manager.
