Woodworking Craftsman

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at DM Millwork Ltd. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality wood products and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.

• Operate Woodworking Machines: Safely operate a variety of woodworking machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
• Shape and Finish Wood: Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files, and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
• Plan and Execute Projects: Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made and trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
• Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Ensure a clean and safe work environment by maintaining a well-organized workspace and adhering to safety protocols.

• Education: A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in woodworking, cabinetmaking, and millwork.
• Skills: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
