About the Role

The First Nations Health Authority is seeking a visionary leader to serve as its Chief Executive Officer. As the organization's top executive, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to over 200 diverse First Nations communities across British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership to the organization, ensuring alignment with its mission and vision.
  • Develop and implement effective healthcare strategies, working closely with stakeholders and community partners.
  • Oversee the management of the organization's programs and services, ensuring they meet the needs of First Nations communities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with First Nations leaders, healthcare providers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the organization's financial sustainability and growth, while maintaining its commitment to cultural safety and First Nations perspectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A track record of senior leadership experience, preferably in a similar-sized organization or with a First Nations organization.
  • Expertise in non-profit management and knowledge of healthcare developments, transformation, and First Nations perspectives on cultural safe care.
  • Knowledge of healthcare issues and health service delivery, particularly public health and First Nations health and wellbeing practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire deep engagement with the community and enhance the reputation of the organization.
