PUR & SIMPLE Breakfast & Lunch Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at PUR & SIMPLE Breakfast & Lunch. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and food safety.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including loading buspans and trays, operating dishwashers, and portioning and wrapping foods.
  • Receiving and Storing Supplies: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and free of clutter.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability, team player, ability to multitask, initiative, dependability, and a positive attitude.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The successful candidate will be required to work in a team environment and be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
