About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Counsel to join our team at Franchise Management Inc. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert advice and support to our business units, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full range of general legal services, with a focus on commercial litigation, consumer disputes, and employment law.
  • Oversee and manage active commercial disputes and litigation matters on behalf of Franchise Management Inc.
  • Assist our Operations Team by providing guidance on legal matters, customer incidents, and other industry-related issues.
  • Develop and enhance processes to automate, streamline, or improve corporate functions.
  • Research, analyze, and communicate changes to laws and regulations that may impact our business units.

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of New Brunswick or another Canadian jurisdiction.
  • ~1-5 years of private practice or in-house experience.
  • Experience with commercial litigation, consumer disputes, or employment law is preferred.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset.
