Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Little Koala Montessori Academy. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing child-care programs, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and establishing positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including the maintenance of daycare equipment
  • Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Establish guidelines for behavior and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE level 1) certification
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
