ResponsibilitiesAs a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Accoravillage, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing test plans, test procedures, and test reports to ensure the highest level of quality.
- Defining test objectives and writing test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Executing formal manual testing and exploratory testing to identify defects and areas for improvement.
- Developing and maintaining procedures for automatic testing to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participating in peer reviews and ensuring that all test procedures are maintained in the version control repository.
- Troubleshooting and resolving defects, and documenting test results for follow-up.
- Maintaining software product quality by raising defects in the bug tracking software.
- Investigating and resolving Software Change Requests, System Problem Reports, and customer tickets.
- Providing technical leadership to junior staff and identifying areas for improvement.
- Committing to project objectives and meeting project schedules and budgets.
- Providing technical expertise and review of documentation, including publications developed by the Technical Publication group.
- Producing software technical documentation to support project or department needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, or Mathematics.
- 8-10 years of experience in a software environment, with experience working in an ISO 9001 compliant software engineering environment being an asset.
- Technical skills in testing software on Windows and Linux platforms, and in areas such as 2D/3D graphics, TCP/IP, UDP, and real-time systems.
- Ability to understand and work with complex software requirement specifications, and understand the importance of test coverage and traceability to requirements.
- Experience in authoring both manual test procedures and automation test cases, and working with distributed networks and network analyzers.
