Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Grade 5/6 Teacher to join our team at Hillview School in the East Prairie Métis Settlement. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and contributing to their academic growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and promote academic excellence.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents, fostering a culture of open communication and collaboration.
  • Champion Cree language and culture revitalization, ensuring its infusion into our curriculum and daily school life.
  • Support school-parent-community engagement, promoting a sense of belonging and shared responsibility.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, embracing collaborative decision-making and promoting a positive school climate.
  • Implement differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of our students.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Hold or qualify for Alberta teaching certification and a Teaching Quality Standard certificate.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Education (BEd.) degree.
  • Successful years of teaching experience in rural and/or Indigenous communities.
