About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to join our team at Walgre Transport Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transportation of goods from point of origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shipping and Compliance
    • Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit.
    • Ensure transport compliance with regulations, including customs clearance and border crossing procedures.
  • Transportation Planning
    • Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
    • Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, ensuring timely delivery and optimal route planning.
  • Operations Management
    • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, including vehicle maintenance and driver management.
    • Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue, ensuring profitability and competitiveness.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, customer service, and finance teams, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
    • Collaborate with external partners, including carriers, brokers, and suppliers, to negotiate rates and services.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of logistics operations.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • Experience
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in a transportation or supply chain role.
    • Language
      • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
    • Work Environment
      • 35 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
