Auto Body Technician

Thandi Auto Care Centre Ltd. is seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for estimating repair costs, inspecting repaired vehicles, and planning repair work to be performed.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate Repair Costs: Accurately estimate repair costs based on damage examination reports.
- Inspect Repaired Vehicles: Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Plan Repair Work: Plan and coordinate repair work to be performed, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
- Test Drive Vehicles: Test drive vehicles to ensure proper handling and performance.
- Repair and Replace Components: Repair or replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components.
- Prepare Surfaces for Painting: Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
- Hammer Out Dents and Defects: Use blocks and hammers to remove dents, buckles, and defects.
- Remove and Replace Damaged Parts: Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
- Apply Primers and Paint: Apply primers and repaint surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Repair or Replace Interior Components: Repair or replace interior components, including seats, carpets, and trim.
- Repair or Replace Damaged Windows and Windshields: Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
- Mix and Apply Paint: Mix paint, blend, and match colors to achieve a perfect match.
- Operate Soldering Equipment: Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
- Straighten Bent Frames: Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
- Experience: Experience in the automotive repair industry is an asset.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
