Job Title: Counselling Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Counselling Therapist to join our team at Prince Edward County Counselling and Psychotherapy. As a Counselling Therapist, you will work with clients to evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and patient outcomes, examine behavior, and provide therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and patient outcomes
  • Examine behavior and provide therapy
  • Interview clients, prepare case histories, and assess problems
  • Record observations and write progress reports
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Provide education to clients regarding health promotion and injury prevention, management, and treatment
  • Counsel individuals and groups to achieve more effective personal, social, and vocational development and adjustment
  • Implement treatment plans and perform administrative tasks
  • Apply psychological theory and principles regarding behavior and mental processes
  • Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining goals and means of attaining them
  • Maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • Accreditation or registration with the appropriate national, provincial, or territorial professional association
  • Provincial license or registration
  • Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
