The Infrastructure division at Ripple Labs is pivotal in delivering the essential foundational capabilities and tools necessary for the scalability, insights, and dependability of our Payments, Liquidity, and Custody solutions. In your role as a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will spearhead and manage multiple critical initiatives that promote cross-organizational collaboration.

This role demands a robust program management background, with direct experience in overseeing substantial deliverables across various teams and departments. You will be responsible for crafting and executing a high-level vision and strategic roadmap for Ripple Labs. Your ability to foresee areas requiring cross-organizational alignment, coupled with sound judgment to balance deliverables, constraints, and dependencies, will be essential in establishing achievable milestones. Understanding the broader context and proactively planning for dependencies and potential obstacles is vital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely delivery of various initiatives focused on site reliability, internal developer experience, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Collaborate with program managers, product managers, and engineering leaders to grasp development priorities and foster alignment among diverse stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively, removing barriers that hinder development progress.
  • Manage testing dependencies for assigned engineering teams and across teams as products converge for deployment.
  • Develop release, bug, and tracking dashboards to keep stakeholders informed of development status and gaps.
Qualifications:
  • Over 8 years of experience in release and/or project management within complex enterprise technology environments.
  • Proficient in utilizing data and analytics to assess trends and maintain project and system health.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and familiarity with modern project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Six Sigma.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across functions, build consensus, and execute initiatives within teams. Capable of influencing without direct authority and negotiating effectively in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence, along with proficiency in Google Sheets.
  • Background in cloud infrastructure is preferred.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Drive complex cross-functional requirements.
  • Coordinate efforts across multiple teams and departments within Ripple Labs.
  • Own the strategic roadmap and tactical milestones.
  • Manage timelines, dependencies, and deliverables effectively.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years in technical product or program management roles.
  • At least 10 years of direct experience working with engineering teams.
  • Proven experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, establishing processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience in designing or architecting systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scalability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS services, observability, and networking.
  • Experience leading large-scale infrastructure initiatives across multiple engineering teams.
