Position Overview

Role Summary : The Maintenance Technician I plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our facilities and production systems.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain compliance with safety and operational standards for all production machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance and inspections on various equipment, including conveyors and material handling systems.
  • Oversee the upkeep of facility infrastructure, ensuring all components function effectively.
  • Utilize computer systems for task management and documentation, ensuring all maintenance activities are logged accurately.
  • Provide training and support to new team members in equipment operation and safety protocols.
  • Perform routine inspections to verify that safety equipment and emergency systems are operational.
  • Assist in facility upgrades and equipment installations as needed.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring availability for all tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations in all maintenance activities.
  • Report any workplace hazards to management promptly.

Qualifications :

  • Completion of a post-secondary program in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Physical capability to lift and move items up to 50lbs.
  • Experience working in environments requiring prolonged standing and physical activity.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Willingness to work in temperature-controlled environments.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
