Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) looking for a unique opportunity to work in a rural setting? We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Technician to join our team at the Innisfail Health Centre.

About the Role

As an Operating Room Technician, you will play a vital role in the OR team, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a safe and sterile environment, and assisting with post-operative care.

Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Post-Grad Perioperative Certification required
  • Operating Room Technician certificate required or Completion of a CLPNA approved perioperative course
  • 2-5 years' experience in the OR setting
  • 1-3 years' experience with Pre-Admission Clinic, pre/post op care
  • IV Medication Administration
  • Ability to start IV effectively
