Packing Supervisor Job Description

At Almag Aluminum, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Packing Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate packing of products for shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of packers to ensure timely and accurate packing of products.
  • Develop and implement efficient packing processes and procedures to minimize errors and maximize productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Shipping and Receiving Manager to ensure seamless communication and coordination between departments.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant production experience desirable.
  • 1 year of experience in shipping/receiving; 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years production experience in an industrial environment.
  • Forklift certificate required; safe forklift driving record a must.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to read and write; familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures.
