Aecon Concessions is a prominent player in the infrastructure sector, dedicated to executing significant projects that enhance our communities and foster connections nationwide. As a company owned by its employees, we prioritize effective execution and ongoing enhancement, driven by the diversity, expertise, and collaboration of our workforce.
We are currently on the lookout for a 3D Modeling Technician - CO-OP to become part of our integrated digital delivery team. This position entails the development of three-dimensional geometrical models across various civil engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employ automated design software to generate 3D visualizations in accordance with project specifications
- Establish 3D models with accurate coordinates and orientations
- Create comprehensive construction drawings and assist in the development of 2D sheets
- Conduct quantity estimations and calculations utilizing cloud-based applications
Essential Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Civil Engineering, Building Information Modeling (BIM), or a related discipline
- Solid understanding of CAD, design development, and engineering principles
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and other AEC digital tools
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret BIM drawings effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practical experience with Bentley design software
- Advanced certification in the Autodesk AEC collection suite
- Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud
