About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Madiz Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and finishing surfaces to ensure a smooth and professional finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Finishing: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, ensuring a precise fit and smooth finish.
  • Taping and Jointing: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless finish.
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Material Handling: Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency and apply successive coats of compound to fill joints and holes.
  • Work at Heights: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to install drywall sheets and finish surfaces.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights and in dusty conditions. You will be required to work in various locations, including commercial and residential sites.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and walking.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Language and Work Conditions

The primary language of work is English, and you will be required to work 40 hours per week in a permanent position.
