Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at William Osler Health System. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will provide high-quality patient-focused care to patients who are identified as less complex and demonstrate more predictable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients in the acute medical/surgical unit, emergency department, and urgent care centre.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Practice according to the nursing practice expectations set by Osler, regulatory practice standards, and legislative requirements.
  • Collaborate with the inter-professional team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide health teaching to patients and families to ensure continuity of care in the community.
Qualifications:
  • Recent experience in an acute medical/surgical unit, emergency department, or urgent care centre.
  • Medical transcription course required.
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Sound knowledge of nursing process, theory, and responsibilities to the nursing profession.
