Job Overview

Gavan Construction Company Ltd is seeking a dedicated Construction Laborer to support our team in various construction tasks. This is a permanent position with a commitment of 40 hours per week.

Work Environment

The role requires working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment, adhering to tight deadlines while ensuring safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport and manage construction materials efficiently.
  • Assist in the erection and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, and barricades.
  • Support skilled tradespersons in framing, wall erection, and roofing tasks.
  • Prepare sites by leveling earth to specified grades.
  • Participate in demolition activities and manage debris removal.
  • Operate and tend to construction machinery and tools.
  • Direct traffic safely around construction zones.
  • Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures diligently.
Qualifications

No formal education is required; however, experience in construction is considered an asset. Candidates should possess:

  • Own transportation and access to public transit.
