Job Summary:

The Drug Database Associate will be responsible for maintaining and updating the company's comprehensive drug product and price file database. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain the drug database, leveraging multiple sources and ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Apply provincial coverage and price changes from source files and perform data loading in the system.
  • Participate in the maintenance of various programs and functionalities in the company's systems.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on peer's tasks to ensure data accuracy.
  • Respond to and resolve Provider and Customer inquiries regarding drugs and medical supplies & equipment database information.
  • Support internal teams in resolution of drug pricing related issues.
  • Contribute to completion of projects and programs in area of expertise.
  • Participate in system testing and analysis in support of new functionality, new system processes, and business rules changes.

Requirements:

  • Post graduate diploma.
  • Graduate from a Pharmacy Technician/Assistant program with experience in retail pharmacy.
  • Previous experience working in drug pricing or in a Pharmacy Benefit Manager preferred.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills to meet firm turnaround times.
  • Critical thinking for decision making.
  • Team player also able to work independently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and processes in place.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Bilingualism (French & English) is an asset.
