POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Resource Nurse plays a vital role in the organization, overseeing the coordination, development, execution, and assessment of nursing care tailored for psychiatric patients. This position is essential in delivering proficient, ethical, and secure therapeutic interventions.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be registered with the Nurses' Association of New Brunswick.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in psychiatric nursing is essential.
  • A certificate in psychiatric/mental health nursing (AIIC) is advantageous.
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is expected.
  • Training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or a commitment to undergo such training is necessary.
  • Experience in Suicide Prevention and Management within a psychiatric hospital context or a commitment to training is required.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and effectively prioritize tasks is crucial.
  • Strong skills in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution are essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities are required.
  • Exhibiting initiative and sound judgment is important.
  • Competence in teaching and knowledge sharing is necessary.
  • Ability to facilitate both individual and group sessions is required.
  • Capacity to act as a change agent is essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team is necessary.
  • Physical capability to perform assigned duties is required.
  • A strong work record in terms of performance and attendance is expected.
  • Commitment to professional ethics, network management philosophy, and organizational values is crucial.
  • Adherence to the confidentiality policies of Vitalité Health Network is mandatory.
