Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments, including the administration of standardized assessment tools, interpretation of testing results, and report writing.
  • Provide classroom and other environmental observations, file review, and gathering case history information through interviews and checklists.
  • Consult with parents, administrators, and other professional service providers to develop intervention strategies and recommendations.
  • Report assessment findings in a written format, including recommendations for interventions to support student learning and adjustment.
  • Liaise with other agencies to promote comprehensive service delivery to students, parents, and teachers.
  • Provide workshops and in-service training on areas of expertise to teachers, educational assistants, and others.
  • Stay up-to-date with current research on interventions in the area of children's mental health, assessment, and exceptionalities.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in a related discipline of Psychology.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Registered Psychologist or equivalent.
  • Eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists as a full-practicing member with an Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE).
  • Licensed and maintain membership through the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists.
  • Proficiency in the operation of computers, word processing applications, and additional software comparable to those currently used in the school division.
