Job Summary
Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a qualified Casual Instructor to teach in the Environmental Engineering Technology program. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering instruction, preparing course materials, and evaluating student progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach environmental engineering technology courses, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.
- Develop and deliver course materials, including lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
- Evaluate student progress, providing feedback and guidance to ensure students meet program requirements.
- Stay current with industry developments and educational best practices, applying this knowledge to improve course content and delivery.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
- Support students with special learning needs, providing accommodations and resources to ensure their success.
- Participate in staff meetings, program reviews, and other professional development opportunities to stay informed about institutional initiatives and best practices.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certification in Environmental Engineering or a related field (e.g., P.Eng., A.Sc.T.).
- At least two years of recent experience in environmental engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of industry practices and educational requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Proven instructional ability, with a track record of delivering high-quality courses and assessments.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a strong understanding of the importance of creating an inclusive learning environment.
