Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Logistics: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring professionalism and courtesy when interacting with clients and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks), and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Documentation: Familiarity with accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection report, trans-border documentation, and trip reports.
  • Communication: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment, as well as trip recorders (on-board computers).
  • Experience: Possess international, local, long-haul, national, provincial/territorial, regional, and short-haul transportation experience.
