About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our team at CB Canada. As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise applications using Core Java.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software applications using Java.
  • Work with our team to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and other automated tests to ensure high-quality code.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply that knowledge to improve our software applications.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in building enterprise-scale applications using Core Java.
  • Experience working with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Microservices using REST, SOAP, etc.
  • Experience working in a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment and familiar with Jenkins, TeamCity, and other code quality tools.
  • Proficient in industry-standard best practices such as design patterns, coding standards, and coding modularity.
  • Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and SQL/PLSQL.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Flink.
  • Experience with Apache Ignite.
  • Experience developing applications in the Financial Services industry.
