Medical Waste Route Driver

Job Summary:

The Medical Waste Route Driver is a critical role at Stericycle, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient collection and transportation of medical waste. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for servicing assigned accounts, managing routes, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned routes to ensure timely and accurate collection of medical waste
  • Transport waste from customer locations to transfer or processing facilities
  • Operate company vehicles equipped with camera telematics, ELD, and GPS
  • Communicate with customers and Stericycle teams to resolve any issues or concerns
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip maintenance on assigned vehicles

Requirements:

  • 6+ months of experience in driving shred/box trucks and route management
  • Valid standard driver's license (Class D or above) with an excellent driving record
  • Ability to obtain and retain a valid Medical Examiner Card (MED)
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand highway traffic signs and signals
