Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Estate and Trust Administrator to join our team at Royal Trust Corporation of Canada. As an Estate and Trust Administrator, you will play a critical role in providing timely and accurate support to our valued clients in respect to all aspects of estate and trust administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Officers in all administrative functions, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and projects.
  • Ensure all account information on internal systems is up-to-date, complete, and accurate, maintaining the highest standards of quality control and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain all written, verbal, and electronic communication as required with internal and external contacts, as well as with clients, upholding exceptional standards of client service.
  • Investigate all inquiries and administrative errors, referring more complex issues to the Senior Officer, and providing timely resolutions to clients.
  • Understand and follow all RBC processes and policies as required, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Promptly respond to client calls in the absence of the Officer or Senior Officer, addressing client inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of estate and trust administration.
  • Post-secondary education, with a focus on business, finance, or a related field.
  • Successful completion of STEP Canada's Foundations of Estate and Trust Administration course (CETA1), or obligation to complete upon employment.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with sensitive and difficult client situations in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork and relationship building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve shared goals and objectives.
