About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Printing Press Operator to join our team at Panjab Printings Inc. as a Production Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our printing presses, from setup to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pressroom Operations
    • Advise the press crew on product specifications and material requirements to ensure accurate production.
    • Mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments to optimize print quality.
    • Review job orders to determine production time, color sequence, and quantities required.
    • Fill ink fountains and control color and viscosity to achieve desired results.
    • Set up the press and operate at slow speed to check samples for quality.
    • Monitor regular press runs for quality using the computer control console.
    • Remove and clean plates and cylinders at the end of each press run.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Set up and adjust in-line binding and finishing equipment to ensure efficient production.
    • Direct the press crew to set up, operate, and shut down the press.
  • Quality Control
    • Monitor print quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure high-quality output.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with the press crew to achieve production goals and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Skills
    • Attention to detail.
    • Accurate.

Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 35-40 hour workweek. The work language is English.
