Metal Fabricator Job Description

Mancor Industries- Royal Windsor Drive is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating metal products, assembling and fitting plates and sections to form structures, and operating heavy-duty metal-working machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine materials required for metal fabrication
  • Lay out reference points and patterns for metal cutting
  • Plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently
  • Study engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accuracy
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines
  • Construct patterns and templates for metal fabrication
  • Install fabricated components in final product
  • Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in metal fabrication
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organized and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
