About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Barista to join our team at EightSix Network. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that every guest has a positive experience in our store.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve high-quality beverages to our customers
  • Operate a state-of-the-art espresso machine and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking the store
  • Meet the needs of all guests through customer service and product knowledge
  • Stock and restock products, including on Uber
  • Organize and consolidate pastries sold throughout the afternoon
  • Build rapport with new customers and returning customers
  • Liaise with other peers to help where needed
  • Perform tasks for closing the store (9 PM), and opening the store (as early as 7 AM)
  • Proper cleaning and shut-down of coffee machine

Requirements:

  • Must have Saturday and Sunday availability, and will be scheduled based on business needs
  • Evening availability is required
  • 1 year of experience as a barista in a busy fast-paced establishment is required
  • 6 months of serving is an asset
  • Lightspeed POS experience is a strong asset
  • Ability to multitask, and think critically
  • Has a sense of business acumen and self-confidence
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Collaborative, honest and dependable
  • Fluent in English
  • FoodSafe is a bonus
