Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated retail sales associate for a temporary on-call role at Canada Post.
Role Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell postal services and products to both businesses and the general public.
- Accurately sort, distribute, and process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assist customers by providing necessary information and required forms.
- Address and resolve delivery and service-related issues efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent experience in business administration.
- Experience in retail sales or customer service, particularly involving sales and cash handling.
- Familiarity with basic accounting practices relevant to postal operations.
- Ability to lift mail containers weighing up to 50 lbs, as well as push or pull boxes, sort mail, and maintain a standing position for extended periods.
- Willingness to be available for temporary on-call assignments.
Additional Information:
Ideal candidates should reside within the local community. Consideration will be given to applicants living within a reasonable distance from the post office.
All selected candidates will be subject to a security screening process.
