About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Vin General Contracting Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Reading and Layout

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and prepare layouts in conformance to building codes.

Installation and Fitting

Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Drywall and Flooring Installation

Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets and carpeting on floors, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Assisting in Framing and Construction

Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, working closely with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

Metal Stud Framing and Furring

Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Work Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the carpentry trade.

Language and Work Environment

Fluent in English, with the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
