As an Automation Systems Technician at CB Canada, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and machinery. Your expertise in programming and testing electronic components will be essential in maintaining our production flow.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work independently and with minimal supervision to troubleshoot and repair electronic components.
  2. Collaborate with the team to implement systems improvements and optimize production processes.
  3. Specify and order safety components to ensure a safe working environment.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest PLC programming standards, robot safety, and new safety components.
  5. Develop and implement controls and designs concepts to improve our production processes.
  6. Maintain and upgrade all PLC-related software and assist in training staff on electronic equipment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Completion of post-secondary education and eligibility for registration as a C.E.T.
  2. Three years of electrical experience, including experience with various PLC and industrial controls systems.
  3. Familiarity with PLC programming and implementation (Allen-Bradley/Siemens).
  4. Safety circuit design, program startup, verification, and troubleshooting.
  5. HMI development and implementation (RsView, Panelview).
  6. Microsoft Computer Operating system setup and maintenance.
  7. AutoCAD and Office applications.
