About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framer-Carpenter to join our team at Wolfe Framing Inc. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Prepare layouts and use measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision in our work.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, to construct and install building components.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to create safe and secure structures.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the building envelope.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Conduct site surveys and level checks to ensure accuracy and precision in our work.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in framing and carpentry, with a strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental hazards.
