About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Hydrogeology Specialist to join our team in Markham, ON.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field investigations, including groundwater investigations, water sampling, infiltration tests, slug/bail and pumping tests, groundwater/surface water sampling.
  • Map hydrogeological features, geological logging, drilling supervision, and installation of groundwater instrumentation.
  • Evaluate test results, interpret groundwater chemical results, and report findings.
  • Work on a wide variety of physical hydrogeology projects, including contaminant hydrogeology projects.
  • Participate in dewatering projects, well testing, environmental impact assessments, water supply work, and groundwater modeling.
Requirements
  • Environmental Technician or Bachelor's degree in geology/hydrogeology or related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred, but entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Consulting experience is a definite asset.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Familiarity with common groundwater and other relevant software (e.g., Aqtesolv, AquiferTest, ArcGIS, and ACCESS).
  • A valid driver's license with own vehicle and travel throughout GTA and Southern Ontario.
