Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shop Mechanic to join our team. As a Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing the required repairs and servicing to the equipment throughout our fleet in order to provide the level of service our clients expect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including light vehicles, heavy trucks, and equipment, hydraulics, electrical, and heavy power trains.
  • Diagnose and rectify problems with equipment, both on-site and on-road.
  • Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure the overall organization of the shop.
  • Document daily service activities to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Promote, lead, and execute a safety-first culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants.
  • Assist in decision-making for outside repairs to equipment and support overall general shop maintenance.
Requirements
  • 310T or 310S License (or apprentice)
  • Valid G license
  • Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Possess own set of tools
  • Comfortable working outdoors in any season
  • Available to work nights and weekends as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • DZ license, an asset
  • Experience in heavy construction equipment, an asset
  • Roadside service experience
  • Experience with diagnostic software and electronic document/time keeping
  • Welding and fabrication experience
