We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at SSK Construction Ltd.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and markings.
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to create a stable base for flooring installation.
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, restoring them to their original condition.
  • Employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting, achieving a professional-looking finish.
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations, ensuring a secure and durable bond.
  • Install vinyl decking materials, providing a durable and low-maintenance solution.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the flooring industry.
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week.
  • English as the primary language of work.
Work Environment:

This role requires a physically demanding work environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Personal Qualities:
  • Organized and methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
