We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Wireline Technician. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wireline units.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain wireline units, including lubricators, logging tools, and sheaves
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on units
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining shop, yard, and equipment
- Keep wireline units stocked with supplies
- Perform regular maintenance on wireline trucks and auxiliary equipment
- Rig in and rig out lubricator, logging tools, and other equipment as required
- Assist with loading perforating guns
- Operate various meters and tools, including megohmmeters, Simpson meters, and digital/Fluke meters
- Disassemble and service rope sockets and cableheads
- Basic knowledge of pressure control equipment and tools
- Provide crane hand signals as per advanced driver training
- Understand and apply basic wellbore mechanics and design
- Differentiate between sweet and sour well operations
- Install tire chains
- Mix oilwell cement
- 18 years of age
- Successful completion of pre-hire testing (physical/hearing test/drug screen)
- Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate a positive attitude and team player qualities
